There are several "tells" that let others know you're not from the Cape. First of all, you probably say "Cape Cod "more often than just "The Cape". You say "At the Cape" versus "On the Cape" as most of us here on the Cape believe because of the canal we are an island. And lastly you hear rarely hear someone refer to their house on the Cape as their "Beach House", it's their "Cape House".. Okay, lesson over.
