Growing up we had long cardboard boxes to house the fireplace matches. I don't even know where my parents bought them, the local hardware store maybe. They has random scenes on the outside and a striking square on the bottom. This handblown glass vessel is a far cry from those cardboard containers. It is simply a piece of art. two small holes at the top dispense matchsticks one at a time when flipped over. a striking point is on the side. An additional replacement striking circle is included as well.
