For many years I searched for a sailfish mount. I didn't know where I would put it, but I knew I really wanted one. One day while antiquing in Essex Massachusetts I found my guy, now named Edward Bloom for the main character in the film "Big Fish", which we love. Edward is 8 feet long and now hangs on the wall in our livingroom on the Cape.
This ornament reminds me of Edward, with the exception, it's a marlin, not a sailfish. It is oversized and truly looks to be swimming out of the tree. An heirloom for sure.
