When we were little we spent winter vacations in Florida to escape the winter in New England for a few wonderful weeks at a time. While there we collected seashells like most, but took it much more seriously than most. There was an undocumented point system for shells. Scallop and auger, one point, tulip, top and sunray, two points. Welk, sand dollar and starfish, three points. Urchin and horseshoe crabs, five points. This urchin sugarand creamer is worth twenty points in my book as it takes me back to those Florida beaches.
