My grandfather was an avid sailor among many other adventurist hobbies. He owned a beautiful wooden ketch that he would sail from Boston down to the Cape, anchoring in Quissett harbor, just around the bend from Woods Hole. I still owns remnants from that time including a serving tray with a nautical chart under the glass with cleat handles that most certainly served up G & T's. You could find hints to their love for sailing while on land, including acrylic nautical flag initials on their car's driver-side doors. It warms my heart to have these now in the shop in remembrance of them.
Each of these acrylic flags is handmade in the U.S., just as they were fifty years ago and can personalize many more things than a car.
