Silicone Spoon Spatula

This is my favorite utensil for cooking.  She isn't sexy, not one of my mom's handed down bleached wooden spoons, she is slim, but she is indispensable. The long handle keeps hands safe from heat yet withstands temperatures up to 500 degrees.  The flexible curved end folds in egg whites, gets into every inch of a bowl and doesn't retain stains or flavors. Mom's spoons look beautiful in the crock on the counter, but these silicone babies feel great in my hand.
