Scrimshaw Letter Opener

Letter openers are a thing of the past, and I'm not sure why.  While snail mail is less than it once was, it is still occasionally filled with wedding invitations, handwritten thank you notes and sympathy cards.  I hope that never changes. Not only does a letter opener open the envelope effortlessly, it opens it cleanly across the top, which is nice should you want to keep the note as a memento.
