Seal Booties

This summer one of our favorite activities is watching the seals from the new deck at the Chatham Pier.  Ellie and I named our favorite seal "Wallace" and soon learned he is the fishermen's favorite as well, often hand feeding Wallace scraps from the boat.  These booties are the perfect baby gift as they also give back to those who make them, marginalized artist groups located in Central Asia. These artists who are far from the capitals, have limited market access and who do not possess modern marketable skills but have carried on traditional craft culture.
