"Hey! Where ya goin'? I'm going to Thompson's Clam Bar. Because that's where the tastiest clams are!"
Located in Harwich Port, overlooking picturesque Wychmere Harbor, Thompson's Clam Bar was known for this catchy jingle, lobster, steamers and chowder. It was the largest seasonal restaurant east of the Mississippi and was a favorite spot for college kids to work in the summer. Sadly it closed in 1995, but you can pretend a guest check pad accidentally came home with you. Wink wink.
Tiki Port in Hyannis sadly closed in December of 2025. People desperately wanted to own a piece of history, so for the month's leading up to the closure visitors left with more than a takeout box. Near the end drinks were served in plastic take out containers as all of the tiki mugs seemingly disappeared along with the classic laminated menus. Guests had to share the few menus that were left.
