Today's Special Recipe Book

My mother had an enormous cookbook collection.  She would write all over their pages, how she adjusted the ingredients, who loved each dish and special occasions when they were served.  I treasure each note, written in her unique handwriting, sometimes splattered with ingredients.  This is why I find this book so special.  I would give it to a couple as they start their lives together including a favorite recipe written in my handwriting.
