We all have our favorite, go-to sweater and if you live in New England chances are it's a Breton striped cotton sweater.  So imagine my delight when I met with the folks at Merrow Knits in Fall River, a company started in 1883 that has grown over time but feels just as it did way back when.  I asked if they could make a blanket using the same knit as their iconic sweaters, to which they said "absolutely!"  Because it is oversized two people can snuggle up and watch a movie or if the power goes out in a storm, fold it in half for twice the thickness and you'll be toasty warm.
